Commentary
Bil-haqqi –
(with the truth), it aims: We (Allah Almighty) have sent You {O Muhammad
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)} to Guide the human beings unto
the Truth. It also means that ‘You speak the truth always, produce clear proofs
and bright arguments for the Right.
Bashiirun –
(a bringer of glad-tidings), that is to say; those people, who believe and
follow the Commandments and Instructions of God Almighty and His Messenger
(glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) “Muhammad (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon Him) is a bringer of glad-tidings of happiness for
them - betterment in this world and the Day of Resurrection as retaliation of
their good deeds”.
Naziirun –
(The Warner), namely Messenger (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon Him)
warns from bad results of evil-deeds during their present life and the Day of
Resurrection to those people, who disbelieve, deny and violate”. These two
characteristics of the Last Messenger, Muhammad (glory, grace, blessings and
peace be upon Him) are very important.
The Infidels and the
Idolaters had doubts in Prophet-hood of the Messenger of Allah Almighty (glory,
grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) and the Truth of Holy Qur’an and used to argue that if God Almighty
can talk with a Messenger (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) then
why does He not talk with us whereas we are also mankind? Or why does He not
bestow on Him {Muhammad (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon Him)} a
great miracle due to which the Prophet-hood and the Truth may be proved
automatically?
Replying to their
objection, God Almighty commanded: Do you ask for one miracle? We have bestowed
many miracles to Our Messenger (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon Him),
but only those people will believe in Him (glory, grace, blessings and peace be
upon Him) who are truly seekers of the Truth wholeheartedly, have faith in the
Truth. Those people will not believe whose perspective is only to criticize and
produce the doubts.
Allah Almighty has commanded in this verse to
His Messenger (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon Him): We have sent You
with the True Religion. The people, who will follow You, are Believers. For
them, You are Bringer of glad-tidings for their good works. However, those, who
will not follow You, they are Infidels, they will be thrown into the Fire of
Hell. You are Warner for them for their bad consequence. The Messenger’s duty
is only to convey the Message of God Almighty. He (glory, grace, blessings and
peace be upon Him) is not responsible of making the Infidels and Idolaters
Muslims.
